Well, you guys rocked once again last night! From Sgt. Pepper to 1964, you

guys put on a fantastic show. I haven't seen Danny with the band since

2002, so it was great to see him again; he does a fabulous job as George.

You guys sure know how to get a room full of people dancing! If I said

thank you a million times it couldn't express how thankful and happy I am

to see such a professional and superb show put on by such nice guys. ;)

So, I suppose once will have to suffice. Thank you from a very happy

Beatles fan and her friends and family for giving us such an enjoyable

evening last night!

Once again your performance in Black River Falls was outstanding.  British Export gave another great performance in Black River Falls! You

looked and sounded great. All of your performances were top notch, but

here are a few personal highlights:

1) Come Together. For some reason this was a particularly powerful, almost

spooky rendition of this great song. Not sure exactly what it was, but at

one point I almost felt a chill run down my spine when you guys performed

this song last night. You truly did "come together" on this one!

2) A Day in the Life. Really nicely done. Roger did a good job with the

lighting, the strobe and smoke effects were cool, and it was just a

powerful performance of this song.

3) Do You Want to Know A Secret. I am a sucker for all the songs on

"Introducing the Beatles" because I "inherited" one of the original VeeJay

LP's from my sister in 1969 (don't tell her -- she is still alive but

doesn't know I have it).

Thanks for letting Cindy and I be part of the British Export experience. We

really got a kick out of it! I think Cindy made a great walrus, and

hopefully I was at least a little helpful as a "sound man."

I hope you got back safely to Chicago and you and your fans enjoyed

"breakfast with the Beatles."

Later,

Dave

P.S. I left the flag. If you think you'll use it again, feel free to keep

it as a "donation" to my favorite, and the world's best, Beatles Tribute

Band.

THANKS TO DAVE AND CINDY FROM MINNESOTA FOR MAKING THE NIGHT A REAL FUN "HAPPENING"

I thought you were excellent in your portrayal of the Beatles. I enjoyed myself, and found myself dancing to most of your repetoire. Subject: British Export Rocks Mantorville

Date: 8/27/2005 2:31:24 PM Central Daylight Time

To: britishexport@aol.com

 Hey Guys:

Your show on August 21st, 2005 was truly memorable. I have been to three of your concerts now, and they all were terrific. But that night, I don't know, maybe because it was in a small venue, seemed to be your greatest performance for me. The whole house was rockin'. Me and my two daughters, Samantha & Tabitha, were at the Fourth of July concert in Duluth MN and also at Navy Pier, but a friend took me to the one in Mantorville at the Relay Station. He surprised me with the tickets and I'm sure glad he did.

After reading all the other e-mails you got from your fans, I must say, the one written by John would also echo my sentiments exactly. He must be my soul music mate. I also thought, I Am the Walrus was your best piece. I really liked the way you guys did, Twist & Shout, She Loves You & Revolution. Although it's hard for me to pick out my all time favorite Beatle song, I think, In My Life would definitely be in the top three. That one sounded so realistic.

It was also an interesting and very insightful point he made when he said that you guys played some numbers that other Beatle tribute bands wouldn't even attempt to play. I also agree, I missed the cow bell in those two songs. I said to my friend as soon as it started, "Hey, the cow bell is missing."

I also liked 10 year old Alice's comment about being embarrassed while her parents danced to every single song and because of that, she had to hide under the table sometimes.

Again, thank you for the special evening. We were on the dance floor all night long, as were many others.

 Keep on rockin' !!!

Tabitha

Dear British Export,

I am only 10 and I don't really know what the Beattles sound like but,

from the CD and other people's input, I think you guys sound really

good. I especially liked "Hey Jude" and "Revolution". "Revolution" I

actually danced to and I'm not the dancing type. I thought the way you

worked the fog machine and the strobe lights was seriously cool. It's

kinda embarassing to have parents that dance to every single song so

sometimes I couldn't hear the songs cuz I hid under the table. I know

that Mantorville wasn't the biggest place you've played but it was

really neat that you could get so close to you. Here is my question

that I want to hear back from please, "Are all you hair really like that

or are some guys wearing wigs?"

Alice

Dear British Export,

I am 14 years old, and the last couple years I have gotten into some

Beattle's CD's, and I really like them. From the CD's, you guys sounded

exactly like them and, if you close your eyes, you can't even tell the

difference. I also really liked the clothes because it even made you

look like the Beattles. I only recognized about half the songs, but now

after listening to you I'll recognize even more. Hope to see you in

Rochester even though we went to the Mantorville concert.

Adam

...how can I have a daughter that isn't the dancing type when I can't

stop myself from dancing? Hey, did I just answer my own question? THANKS

for coming!!!! I can't remember when I had so much fun. I was telling

my friend also in attendance that it's been four days since i woke up

without sore muscles from dancing. Your music just pulled me out

there. Every muscle ache was worth it! We loved hearing all those

songs live. Thanks also for taking the time to make the sound be right

for that space..what a difference. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed

listening to you. Music has a way of recalling feelings and emotions so

vividly...you gave us a chance to go back and visit a different time. It

was fun.

Sincere thanks,

Laura and Mike

it is the on-stage antics that you

guys do that really makes your show ("Mach Shau!"). I love it when Paul

rocks his base up and down, and does the back-to-back thing with "George",

and when "George" did the guitar solo standing up on the drum platform, and I

love the exaggerated drumming in the middle of whatever song that is (I can

never remember that song...and I call myself a Beatles fan!). Of course,

the banter is always funny, too...Paul does such a great "Paul" with his

accent, mannerisms, and hesitant speech patterns when he introduces the

songs....and your intros to Ringo songs...all that stuff is GREAT!

To: Britishexport

 John, Paul, George & Ringo:

August 25th, 2005. It was truly a Night to Remember. You guys are definitely a top Beatle cover band. I was not surprised, but very delighted at the authenticity of your performance. Your song selection was great, but I wish you could have played about 150 more. I guess a true Beatle fan couldn't be disappointed with whatever songs you would have chosen.

I attended the concert with my son Jonathon and my best friend Curt. We love playing card games and listening to the Beatles whenever we get together, so that evening we were living in a dream world. We played 3 handed cribbage, drank Pepsi and listened to British Export live all night long. A special thanks goes out to Kat who was our waitress.

We have two requests. Maybe next time we see you guys, you could play, "Let it Be" and a cow bell would be a nice touch on the songs "I Call Your Name" & "You Can't Do That."

You played some very interesting numbers too. Some songs that other Beatle cover bands would never even attempt. The definite highlight of the evening was when you did, "I am the Walrus." It was excellent. Other songs that we were surprised to hear but welcomed dearly were "Slow Down," "Revolution," "I Call Your Name," "LSD" & my all-time favorite Beatle song, In My Life. Also, the way you did "Twist & Shout" and "She Loves You" came in a close 2nd and 3rd to "Walrus".

Thanks again.

John

Hi Guys. Just wanted to tell you home much we enjoyed your tour in Mantorville, MN. The venue remined me of the British Village Hall circuit during the sixties. Being an Ex-Brit, I can tell you, you hit the mark. From set up to picture ops at the end: you send me back to my childhood. A big plus of the night - you were having fun. I know its hard to do the same show night after night but you did it so well. And the sound was FAB. Hope to catch you for the third time when you get back in Minnesota. If you get near, I have a 1960's British Ferret Scout Car (same as used in the film Help) Would make a great CD cover photo op. for you. God bless all four. The Hill family.

To: britishexport@aol.com

 Guys,

Hey, I just saw you play at Mantorville last night. It was the most fun I have had for a long time. I particularly liked that the venue had a large dance floor, as that really added to the experience. I have seen another Beatles copy band at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul, and while that was fun too, I found that this experience was a lot better for those who enjoy dancing. Since I have always been a big Beatles fan, my kids have grown up listening to their music also, and know all the songs. So my 17 year old daughter really enjoyed it also. We plan to go again whenever you play in Mantorville, or another dance venue in the area.

Just a couple comments on small areas for improvement. I think Ringo should shake his head from side-to-side a little more. And when I think of Paul doing the Yesterday song, I picture him doing it on Ed Sullivan and playing the acoustic guitar himself. So if your Paul doesn't play the acoustic guitar for it, I would suggest you just skip that song. Just a couple suggestions. Overall, it was awesome. I also enjoyed talking to John in the crowd on breaks and that he let people take pictures with him. I imagine you need a little quiet time, but it would be nice if you all did that some.

 Ken

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the show in Mantorville last night! As

usual, you and the rest of the lads put on a great performance. Ten of my

friends were there, too, and one of them summed it up nicely by saying that

you make the music fun because it was obvious that the band was having as

much fun as the audience. I think that is why my family keeps coming back

to see British Export in concert -- you make the music fun, just as the

Beatles intended. If you ever question whether you are doing something

important, don't! The energy and joy that you create on the stage is

contagious, and the people that see you perform come away recharged and

ready to face the more dreary aspects of life with renewed happiness and

optimism.

It was great seeing you again, and thanks for the "solo" picture with the band!

Your All Starr Concert was absolutely fabulous. You are our favorite Ringo! We enjoyed all of the “guest stars” and great vocals by Paula E. Paul;great Paul, great John (and even great Roy Orbison)! Even though I wasn’t there to see the roof top concert, I loved the details of your beard and mustache and Gavin’s hairy coat! Gavin, ............ You are a great musician and your attention to detail in the George Harry’s Son tribute is breathtaking. Jeff, great John and great Tom Petty, I loved that added touch and we would love to see that cover band sometime. We who attended Abbey Road appreciate the time and effort it took to put together concerts. Thanks to all!

Lastly, Sabrina YOU ARE THE WALRUS!

This was our FOURTH Abbey Road on the River and British Export was awesome (as usual). They are the BEST Beatles Tribute Band I have heard! I caught all of the shows and all of them were FABulous.

The highlight of the weekend, though, was the Jim "Ringo" Martin and his All Star Band show. That just blew me away. It was great that Paula was a part of it and she did a great job. I think that show should be on the agenda next year at AROTR (and for years to come).

You guys really rocked and really know how to keep the music alive. It was wonderful to be a part of it all at AROTR. Thanks.

Sandy

....Paul Lynch is even better as Paul than he was as John. I didn't think it was possible

that you guys could get better, but you did! You are awesome! I'm

sure you've been reading the guest book and hearing all the great comments

about you guys! Beatles fans from all over are learning what we already

knew! I'm so happy for you guys that youre getting such recognition.

I'm telling ya'... the "roof top concert" was just fabululous. It was

the perfect start to the weekend, not to mention one of the highlights!

It got us going and put everyone in the mood. How cool is 4th Street Live?

It was great to meet your families, and Paul's wife doing the Walrus

bit....great addition! Gavin is still da Man, and his and Paul's

performances together were true highlights of the weekend.

Just luv him to death! I got a glimpse of your new "John" and I'm

impressed.

As for the festival...my only (semi) negative comment would be that it's

getting to be too much about John. I wouldn't tell the promoters that,

of course, cause i would NEVER dump on the job they're doing. I

understand that Sunday nitght's Concert for John marked an

anniversary...and I understand that Lawrence Macca wasn't there...but I was

MUCH more impressed with the Fantasy Reunion than the whole John thing.

With BE's Paul Lynch available, who needs Lawrence Macca? And never a

mention of George....we lost TWO Beatles, not just John. OK....I'm done

whining...you probably figured out that I was more a Paul and George fan!

It must be a blast for Beatles fans living in the Chicago area... concerts

every weekend .......... We discovered '62 about a year ago. They're the closest to us...about 100

miles and we catch their act whenever they're performing. Another great

bunch of guys....did you get to meet them?

You probably ALSO figured out that you guys are still my favorites! Even

with the new additions to AROTR this year, you guys are still the best!!

Keep it up!!! Our only regrets are it'll probably be another whole year

before we get to see you again!

And remember, anytime you need help with the equipment or anything else...just ask. I would be more than glad to help out. You .... are so special to me. By the way, that was fun riding on that cart!! I I would like to come to the Palatine show the 10th is it? I wanted to get a pic with you Jim when you were dressed up as Ringo.  It was wonderful to see you guys again. Your set at the Bomhard was rocking! I just loved it! I wish we were able to spend more time with you but I understand how busy you all were. Please give my best to Jeff and Paul. We will surely miss Gavin, as I’m sure you will to. Paula is a real sweetie and I’m glad to have met her. Please keep in mind to try and schedule a show on the east coast. If you need those contacts again, please let me know, ok?

Love,

Terri

Btw – your Ringo set was phenomenal. You are by far the best “Ringo” I have ever seen! Paul was great as young “John” – no one can do it better than him!

Just wanted to drop you guys a line and say how

wonderful you were this weekend at Abbey Road On The

River. I saw you last year in Cleveland, and you are

one of the reasons I came again this year. I loved

the All Star Band on Sunday. Jim is a great Ringo! I

also have quite a soft spot for George, so I loved

Gavin and Paul's performance of his solo stuff. You

all are the best tribute band I have ever seen.

Thanks for keeping the music alive!

Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed seeing you guys and hearing you perform this past weekend at AROTR. British Export holds a special place in my heart, and since I don't get to see enough of the band, each and every time I do see you guys it's such a thrill. You are all a class act, taking time to talk to me and the rest of the girls, posing for those endless pictures, and just being nice people. Don't ever change!

I absolutely loved your Ringo show. You are an amazing Ringo! And when Paul did his version of young John in the Concert For John, I could barely hold back the tears, it was so touching.

So until the next time, take care of yourself. And please tell the rest of the guys "Hi" from the girls.

British Export ROCKS!!!!!

 Love and Hugs,

Denise

It was great meeting you and your lovely wife in person and chatting in

Louisville. My wife and I caught British Export at Fourth Street Live, and

twice at AROTR and you guys were great as usual. I also very much enjoyed

the Ringo All Star performance. I saw Ringo in 1997 and your portrayal of

him is uncanny!

 B.E.,

hello! im shelby. I was at abbey road on the river and just wanted to thank

you for all the wonderful concerts you did. You guys were truely amazing.

(You must be if my mom cried) There aren't many tribute bands out there that

have the talent that you four do. I really felt like i was at a Beatles

concert, except for the fact that i could hear the music, and that i was

born almost 30 years after they broke up so I really dont know what they

were like in concert. But other than that it was VERY realistic. Thank you

so much for allowing young beatles fans like myself to enjoy what our

parents got to back in the day! hopefully i'll get to see you all again

before arotr next year!

Shelby Eagan.
